Designed for every professional group, organised around tasks. ARGO has been running at UKE since 2024 and at Schön Klinik since August 2026. Discharge letters and speech recognition are in use. Tasks, nursing documentation and GOÄ billing are rolling out.

The foundation.
IDMBase makes the data in existing systems accessible for medicine. HIS, PDMS, PACS, lab and archive become one FHIR data layer that ARGO and future AI applications build on. The systems stay, the data belongs to the hospital.

IDM is a non-profit subsidiary of UKE Hamburg. Development, operations and responsibility for the software sit with IDM. Our developers work side by side with clinicians who use our systems. No venture capital, no exit pressure, no payouts to shareholders.
We believe healthcare cannot serve patients well in the future without AI. That is why this technology must be responsible, explainable, and accessible to all.
IDM builds the applications and trains the models behind them.
Training data
The models behind ARGO are trained on clinical documentation data from the development partnership with UKE. ORPHEUS learns only from dictations users choose to release, de-identified.
Data sovereignty
ARGO runs on premises, the data stays in the hospital. ORPHEUS runs on premises too or in data centres in Germany, as you prefer.
Open architecture
Works with any HIS that speaks open standards. The data can be exported.
Non-profit
What we earn goes back into development. Our job is to make medical AI broadly available.
