IDM gGmbH is a recognised non-profit. You can claim donations in your tax return.

Innovative Digitale Medizin gGmbH (Hamburg Local Court, HRB 172466) is recognised as tax-privileged for the promotion of public health care as well as science and research. Under the exemption notice of the Hamburg-Nord tax office dated 4 September 2025, tax number 17/432/00418, it is exempt from corporation tax pursuant to Section 5 (1) no. 9 of the German Corporation Tax Act (KStG). Your donation is used exclusively for these charitable purposes and is tax-deductible.

Up to €300, the tax office accepts your bank statement or payment confirmation as proof – no separate donation receipt needed.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. IDM is a non-profit. Up to €300 the tax office accepts your payment record; above that we issue a donation receipt.

Will I get a donation receipt?

On request at any time – email us at spenden@idmedizin.de. From €300 we issue one automatically, provided we have your address.

Where does my money go?

Into sovereign infrastructure, open access and independent research – not into profit distribution. As a non-profit, we are bound by this.

Can I donate regularly?

Yes. Choose “Monthly” above. You can stop your donation yourself at any time.

Is online payment secure?

Yes. Online payments run through Stripe, a certified payment provider. IDM never stores card details.
